Karma is real. Free will is also real. The work of Kalika is to show you both — to measure the forces operating on your life with the rigor of ancient classical knowledge and modern empirical validation, and to leave the choices entirely to you.
Not all karma is unchangeable
Buddhist teaching distinguishes niyata karma — fixed, unavoidable — from aniyata karma — flexible, shaped by awareness and action. Hindu philosophy makes a similar distinction between prarabdha (the karma now active in this life) and sanchita (the karma still in storage, waiting). Both traditions agree on the central point: a portion of karma is locked, and a portion is open. Awareness changes what is changeable.
Most astrology platforms ignore this distinction. They either collapse everything into fate ("this will happen") or collapse everything into vagueness ("just be careful"). Both errors strip the chart of its actual shape.
Kalika applies this principle technologically
We do not claim every prediction will manifest. We measure the karmic forces tilting your life in particular directions, then trust you to engage those forces consciously. Each rule in our knowledge base is tagged for force direction (pull, push, amplify, counter) and intensity. At any moment in your life, Kalika computes the net force operating across each domain — career, relationships, health, finances, spirituality.

A Mars-accident-force, and why it matters
Suppose your chart shows elevated Mars-related accident force in 2026. The energy will likely manifest somewhere in your physical sphere. A vehicle accident is one expression. A kitchen injury is another. A torn ligament from a workout is a third. The karma is paid out in physical-Mars currency, but the form the payment takes is not fixed.
Mindfulness, when applied with foresight, moves the manifestation toward smaller, manageable forms. The karma is paid — but consciously, in a form you can handle. Some teachers call this the observer effect of consciousness on karma. We call it the gift of foresight, applied with care.
